If you fell in love with our original Glow oil, now renamed Glow No 1 we’ve got a little update to share — and trust us, it’s a good one.
We’ve been working behind the scenes to tweak the formula just slightly to make it even more aligned with our mission: effective, gentle, skin-supportive skincare rooted in nature. After lots of research, testing, and thought, we’ve decided to swap out Cacay oil and replace it with Bakuchiol — a gentle, plant-based retinol alternative that your skin is going to love!!
Why the switch?
Cacay oil has been great. It's nutrient-rich and full of naturally occurring vitamin A, but it works more like a nourishing support oil than a true retinol alternative. As we dialed in the formula and focused more on targeted performance for sensitive, barrier-aware skin, Bakuchiol stood out as the better fit.
Bakuchiol offers the glow-boosting benefits of retinol — smoother texture, improved tone, collagen support — without the irritation, redness, or sun sensitivity. It's been clinically studied and shown to be just as effective as retinol in many ways, but far gentler. Basically, it's the kind of ingredient we get excited about, you know... results without the drama!
What does this mean for you?
Same gorgeous texture, same barrier-supportive base, but with a little more skin-smoothing power — and still 100% plant-based. The update is subtle in feel but powerful in effect.
