derived ingredients.

Our products are waterless so we can safely exclude preservatives and
additives allowing you to enjoy ingredients sourced directly from our earth in its purest form.

We have proven and vowed to never test our products on animals, nor do any of our ingredient sources.

First, we always recommend a patch test on your skin 48 hours before use.

We must receive this within 14 days of purchase and reaction from use must be proven, we will be happy to find a resolution to this.

Please note, redness and a slight tingly sensation is common after using clay masks, as clay stimulates blood flow to the skin.

Mixing
Directions: In a non metal mixing bowl mix 2-3 scoops dry mask to equal scoops or less water or liquid of choice using the wooden spoon. Mix to a thin or thick
paste. Texture of mask is your preference, does not change the mask benefits.

Add up to 10 drops of our facial oils for extra hydration. Apply to clean face with mask brush. Leave on for 2-5 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Never add
liquid to bottle/discard any extra after mixing. Avoid using metal bowls and utensils. Use mask 1 to 2 times per week.

Time duration for all Modern Earth Skincare mask are from 2 to 5 minutes MAX.
Our mask activate the moment you add liquid to them. We recommend to remove your mask with luke warm water before it has dried completely.
Anything over 10 minutes may result in the mask drying out and cracking over the skin. This can cause your skin to become dry and may cause possible skin irritations. Leaving the mask on longer will NOT offer better benefits.

ALWAYS REMOVE YOUR MASK BEFORE IT FULLY DRIES AND CRACKS

If your mask dries too quickly we recommend using a rosewater spray or water to slightly mist over your skin to gradually re-wet the mask.

Natural clay ingredients are designed to stimulate blood flow to the surface of your skin for faster cell turnover and skin renewal. Once you remove your mask it is normal for your skin to be slightly pink or red in color.

Once you have removed your mask, pat dry and apply a moisturizer.

Never do the Pumpkin mask on the same day if you use Retinol, Vitamin C, Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide products. Irritation will occur. We recommend alternating these products.

Acne? Add a few drops of Apple Cider vinegar or Honey to your mask to help combat bacteria on your skin. Apple Cider not recommended with the Pumpkin Mask.

Pre Mask prep: Cleanse your skin thoroughly removing make up and any debris, but do not use any abrasive scrubs or washes. Actually, NEVER use any abrasive scrubs or utensils on your face :)

 
 Once skin is cleansed and patted dry, you can apply
your mask.

Pro Tip: Steaming your face prior to any mask will get you optimal results when deep cleansing your pores. Just make sure your skin has a moment to cool down before applying the mask.

You can customize your mask with these activators and enjoy added benefits. 

Some of our favorites are:

Rosewater: Balances skin, soothes redness, retains moisture and acts as a mild astringent and
anti bacterial. The soft aroma of Rosewater is also soothing for your soul.

Glycerin (dilute with water) Retains skins natural moisture. Helps reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hydrates and softens skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar: (dilute with water) Helps restore PH levels, soothes skin and has anti bacterial properties. 

Yogurt: Gently dissolves dead skin cells, softens skin, helps to even out skin tones. Choose a plain Greek Yogurt.

Kombucha (crazy huh!?) Contains a high concentration of antioxidants great for soothing fine lines and wrinkles. Overtime can defend against free radical
damage.

Milk: Lactic acid is great for deeper cleansing, contains fats and proteins for skin soothers. Great for renewing and softening skin

Green Tea: Provides anti aging benefits, tightens pores, moisturizes and soothes skin.

Lemon Juice: (Must be diluted with water). Helps to even skin tone, brighten and works as a non abrasive exfoliant.

Honey: (also great for acne) Rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Antibacterial and anti fungal. Acts as a humectant. Needs to be diluted with water for better mixing

and of course our very own facial Oils!

We recommend using our mask 1-2 times a week. Morning or night.

Clay mask are designed to deeply cleanse your pores ridding your skin from build up, debris, makeup, oils and dead skin cells, If you have clogged pores you may experience a purge after using a clay mask. This is to be expected and a great sign your skin is doing its job. Continue using the mask at least once a week until your purge subsides.

Slight redness after using a clay mask is normal as it increases blood flow to the surface if your skin

All our mask in dry form have a shelf life of 6 to 12 months when safely kept away from sunlight and liquids. Once mixed with liquid for single use, all left over content must be thrown away.

All domestic orders placed before 3pm will be shipped out same day and should arrive within 2 to 3 days, but up to 5 days depending on where you live in the US. Orders
after 3pm will be sent out next day.

All local delivery orders will be delivered same day (faster than Amazon prime!) when placed before 5pm
